Enabling SimulationXpress
This article provides step-by-step instructions to enable SimulationXpress in your installation of SOLIDWORKS
SimulationXpress is an entry to the world of SOLIDWORKS Simulation and can only be used to perform static FEA analysis on parts.
This applies to serial-number managed versions of SOLIDWORKS Standalone, not Network or 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS installations
Steps to Enable SimulationXpress
- Start your installation of SOLIDWORKS as normal
- Navigate to Tools --> Xpress tools --> SimulationXpress
- On the following screen, click on the link for "My.solidworks.com/xpress". This will take you to My.Soldiworks.com and redirect you to a log in. You can use your 3DEXPERIENCE Username and password.
- Once you have successfully logged in, you will be redirected back to the MySolidWorks page and be presented with your SimulationXpress code. It can be found in the green bar. Save this code for future use.
- Once you have this, head back to your SOLIDWORKS window and input that same code in the same screen on which you originally were prompted for a code and click OK.
- You can then open a SOLIDWORKS Part file and find SimulationXpress in the task pane on the right!
