How to Install Shop Floor Machining (NC Shop Floor Programmer)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to install and use the Shop Floor Machining application, which is part of the NC Shop Floor Programmer role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Step 1: Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

  1. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform using your credentials.

Step 2: Ensure Role Assignment

  1. Confirm that the NC Shop Floor Programmer role is assigned to your account.
    • Access the Members Control Center to assign the role if it is not already assigned using this guide.

NOTE: This step requires administrative permissions.

Step 3: Access the 3D Compass App List

  1. Open the 3D Compass App List, represented by a blue circle with a play button in the top-left corner of your screen.

Step 4: Locate the Shop Floor Machining App

  1. Scroll through the My Apps section until you find Shop Floor Machining

Step 5: Install the Application

  1. Click on Shop Floor Machining to begin the installation process.
  2. Follow the prompts in the installation wizard, using the default settings unless customization is required.

Step 6: Launch the Application

  1. Once the installation is complete, launch the application by selecting Shop Floor Machining from the app list in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in your web browser.

Optional: Create a Desktop Shortcut

  1. Click the down arrow next to Shop Floor Machining in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  2. Select Create Desktop Shortcut to add a desktop icon for quick access.
