How to Resolve the “An Incomplete Installation Has Been Found In This Directory” Error for 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS (SOLIDWORKS Connected)
When updating 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS (SOLIDWORKS Connected), installations may fail due to a non-empty installation directory. Follow these steps to resolve the issue by clearing the incomplete installation folder.
Step 1: Navigate to the Incomplete Install Data Folder
- Leave the error message open or select Exit Installer.
- Open File Explorer.
- Press Win + E to open Windows File Explorer.
- Navigate to the Incomplete folder in the Installation Directory.
- C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE\InstallData\Incomplete
Step 2: Delete the Incomplete Install Data
- Delete the Incomplete folder with all of the contents within.
- After clearing the folder, select the Restart Installation button if you left the installation dialog open or retry the update.
This should allow the update to proceed without errors.
