How to Troubleshoot 'Sorry, Access Denied' Errors on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
Resolve common sign-in errors, account problems, and access issues
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform requires a valid 3DEXPERIENCE ID and assigned roles to access cloud services. When login or access issues occur, they are usually related to account credentials, platform permissions, or browser settings.
This guide walks you through the most common causes of 3DEXPERIENCE login failures and how to resolve them. Once complete, you should be able to sign in successfully and access your assigned roles.
Access Denied. You Don't Have Access to This 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform displays several types of Access Denied messages, and they can look very similar at first glance. However, the exact error text shown at the bottom of the message provides important details about what is causing the issue.
Different Access Denied messages correspond to different root causes, such as missing invitations, incorrect login URLs, expired roles, or incomplete tenant activation. The correct solution depends on that specific wording.
When troubleshooting, be sure to read the full message, especially the line at the bottom, to identify the correct cause and follow the appropriate resolution steps.
You have not been invited to the platform. Please ask the platform administrator for an invitation.

Cause
This message appears when you have not been properly invited to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Common reasons include:

You have not been invited.

The invitation was sent to an incorrect or misspelled email address.

You are attempting to access the wrong tenant URL.
Resolution

Contact the platform Administrator and request a valid invitation.

Verify the correct email address was used to sign in (check for typos).

Confirm you are using the correct URL. The following URLs will redirect you to you the correct 3DEXPERIENCE platform, depending on if you have a commercial, student, or maker's subscription.

If an invitation is pending or corrupted, the Administrator should remove the invitation and re-invite you.
NOTE: The URLs provided above will only redirect you if you have previously successfully accessed the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. If your invitation is still pending, you will need to either:
- Click on the URL in the invitation email.
- An administrator can resend this email if it has not been received.
- Have another user from your organization send you your tenant specific URL.
- Someone with access to your platform can copy the URL from their web browser when logged in to share with you.

Cause
These errors typically occur when a license or tenant activation step is incomplete. Possible reasons include:

The One-Time Ticket (OTT) activation link from the initial invitation has not been used.

The assigned 3DSwymer license is expired.

You are part of Cross-Company Collaboration and are using a license from Tenant A to log into Tenant B, but the setup is incomplete or restricted.
Resolution

Use the “Get Started” link from the initial invitation email to activate the tenant and consume the One-Time Ticket.

Administrators should confirm that 3DSwymer licenses are valid and not expired.

If attempting to set up Cross-Company Collaboration:

Ensure you have at least one active role and license assigned on the originating tenant.

Disable the Restrict Usage to This Platform option on the originating tenant.

Ticket has already been consumed

Cause
This error occurs when the One-Time Ticket (OTT) link from the invitation has already been used, and you attempt to use it again.
